Inputs

NameTypeDescription
First ValuefloatarrayThe value to test (left side of the comparison).
Second ValuefloatarrayThe threshold to compare against (right side of the comparison).

Outputs

NameTypeDescription
GTREbooleanarrayThe element-wise "greater than or equal" result.
Outputi={trueif Ai≥Bifalseotherwise\text{Output}_i = \begin{cases} \text{true} & \text{if } A_i \geq B_i \\ \text{false} & \text{otherwise} \end{cases}

The Greater Than or Equal module performs an inclusive comparison—output is true when the first value is greater than or equal to the second.

ABA ≥ B
1510true
1010true
510false
00true

Inclusive vs Strict Comparison

⚠️ Key difference from GTR (>): Equal values return true with GTRE.

Comparison10 vs 10 Result
GTR (>)false
GTRE (≥)true

Use GTRE when touching a threshold should count as meeting the condition (e.g., "at or above support level").

Missing Data

A comparison needs both values. When either side is missing (null) at a position — a closed market, a data gap — the output is null at that same position. GTRE never substitutes a default value and never fakes a false.

ABA ≥ B
15nullnull
null10null
nullnullnull

GTRE has no domain violations of its own — any two real numbers are comparable — so a null output always traces back to a missing input.

Live mode: returns exactly one datapoint (the most recent slot), which is null when either input is missing there.

Input Alignment

When inputs have different lengths or frequencies, Systemic automatically aligns them:

ScenarioBehavior
Different lengthsShorter series is padded by repeating its last value
Different frequenciesLower-frequency series is upsampled to match
Constant vs seriesConstant is broadcast to all time points

Practical Example

Minimum threshold: Verify that a position size meets the minimum requirement. Use Position Size >= Minimum so that exactly meeting the minimum is still valid.

  • GTR (>) — Strict greater-than (excludes equality)
  • LST (<) — Strict less-than
  • LSTE (≤) — Less than or equal
  • EQ (==) — Equality only
